Andy Friedman - "Going Home"

This is another track from Andy Friedman's CD release show at Southpaw in Brooklyn, shot in March, for the release of Laserbeams and Dreams.  He was joined for the show by David Goodrich and Stephan Crump, and the track features a reading of Andy's poem "Schroon Lake".

Andy is on tour in May throughout the South and Midwest before heading back to New York.  You can find those tour dates HERE.  I highly recommend checking out a show if you find Andy in your neck of the woods, and at the very least, pick up a copy of the album HERE.

Ain't Life Grand?

Well boys and girls, this has to be one of the most grueling shoots and turnarounds we've ever attempted..., but its over.  8 cameras, 70 hours of footage, and 3 days to get it out the door.  I did manage 8 hours of sleep those 3 days, and only once fell out on a couch at the office.  Many thanks to Channing and the boys at Live Jam HD, and also to Panic and the crew at Brown Cat for inviting us to come out.  The 4 disc set of the BJCC and Oak Mountain shows in Alabama have been delivered, along with the HD digital downloads.  You can find those HERE.  More on the way from Charlie Daniels and our new friends Big Gigantic, but for now, we hope you enjoy, Ain't Life Grand.

Widespread Panic "Feelin' Alright"

This past weekend we found ourselves at Oak Mountain for the return of Widespread Panic, who haven't played the venue in 8 years.  Due to terrible weather and tornado warnings, Friday nights show was moved to the BJCC in downtown Birmingham.  This selection of the Dave Mason cover made famous by Joe Cocker is the set one closer from that show.  The band was in rare form for the fans who braved the weather and made it out.  The full length DVD's and digital downloads will be available from WIDESPREADPANIC.COM.  Cranking on the edit now.  More to come! Thanks to Upham, Vernale, Saliba and Stuckey for the camera work. -BoB

Andy Friedman - "Roll On, John Herald"

This is our second release from Andy's CD release show for Laserbeams and Dreams.  We have two more releases on deck from the show.  Once again, Stephan and Goody Goodrich join Andy for the performance of this upbeat tune, Roll On, John Herald.  Coming up, we'll be teaming up for shoots for Livejam HD for Widespread Panic and The Charlie Daniels Band.  Should be a fun month.

Andy Friedman - "Nothing With My Time"

Today we're happy to bring you a very interesting take on a trio. Bass players and guitar players take note, this is how you back up a singer songwriter. Our good friend Andy Friedman is releasing his third studio album, Laserbeams and Dreams, and we had the pleasure of shooting some promo pieces for the release, as well as the CD release show at southpaw in Brooklyn.  Andy was joined by Stephan Crump and David "Goody" Goodrich, who also recorded the album in Stephan’s studio in Brooklyn.  The evening was really something special, and we’ve decided to release a new track each week for the month of April to support the new album.  For now, we hope you enjoy this rendition of “Nothing With My Time”. Thanks again to Andy, Stephan, Goody and the folks at Southpaw for letting us shoot. Enjoy.

The National - Conversation 16

New release from The National today we had a hand in making.  BoB was on set to run the B-Camera for our good friend Josh Glaser and the director Scott Jacobson.  I have some pics from the shoot I'll be posting later in the week.  I meant to a month ago, but it slipped my mind.  Getting old I suppose.

This next release is a very special one.  Our friends at Monkey Eats Monkey, a live event production company out of Indianapolis put together a new release for Beta Male’s “Are You Holden”.  We’re gonna be featuring work from Derik and Christina here on the site, so consider this a proper introduction.

“Beta Male thoroughly seduced and entranced the crowd at Radio Radio for their sold-out cd-release show.  As Allison Hazel stepped onto the stage dressed to thrill, wearing hosiery with no skirt, she conjured up images of department-store mannequin come to life.”

Stay tuned for more from the guys and gals at Monkey Eats Monkey.  We’re very excited to showcase their work on the site and looking forward working some shows together in the not too distant future!

Spirit Family Reunion "Leave Your Troubles At The Gate"

Second release from our Zebulon shoot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  The guys are headed out on tour in March.  We're putting together another release to go with the dates in the coming week.  For now, hope you enjoy this rendition of Leave Your Troubles At The Gate.  You can keep up with Nick and the guys HERE.

Spirit Family Reunion "100 Greenback Dollar Bills"

We've been working on nailing this next shoot with Spirit Family Reunion down for some time. On Sunday, we finally got our act together for an hour session at Zebulon in Williamsburg.  The venue was kind enough to let us in prior to opening for the shoot.  This is the first release from that hour session.  I'll put more of this up later in the week.
